2008 Programs


Empowering Teachers and Students through Problem-Based Mathematics (ETS/PBM)  A Math Science Partnership Project Serving Buncombe County, Asheville City, and Francine Delaney Schools

  • August 5, 2008 - More Than Math, Grades 3-4, Asheville Art Museum
  • August 6, 2008 - More Than Math, Grades 5-6, Asheville Art Museum
  • August 7, 2008 - More Than Math, Grades 7-8, Asheville Art Museum (in collaboration with the Asheville Art Museum)

Sessions are open to teachers from other LEAs on a space available bases.  Interested teachers should e-mail Ramona Martinez ramona.martinez@bcsemail.org, 255-5959.  A modest registration fee may apply.


Everyday Geometry: Art, Nature, and Architecture

Discover geometric shapes and symmetries that occur in nature and explore how geometry is used in art and architecture.
