Accounting Interview Day:
Nine firms interviewed students on September-21 (Gould Killian, Dixon Hughes, Sam Underwood, Moore Stephens Tiller, Drake Enterprises, Rushton & Company, Reznick Group, PWC, and E&Y). Firms that could not attend but to whom we have forwarded resumes include Johnson Price & Sprinkle; Gabler Molis; Turner Ennis Hatchett & Roberts; and the infamous “Project Eagle.” A total of 17 individuals were interviewed, consisting of 11 undergraduates, 4 graduate students, and 2 MAcc alumni.
Fall Banquet:
Approximately 95 people attended the banquet Friday night (September 21, 2007). This included 16 MAcc students, as well as 9 of the 11 undergrads who had interviewed earlier that day. All students attended free of charge.

Accounting Club visited Dixon-Hughes:
The newly organized Accounting Club visited Dixon-Hughes on Friday, November 16. They visited with several Dixon-Hughes accountants, including Tiffany Jackson, Alex Bridgeman, Tim Carlson, and Woody Hoyle, learning about the CPA firm’s information technology, accounting, auditing, and wealth management services. Students attending included Daniel Oates, Brady Proffitt, Susanna Sjoknst, Elin Mickelson, Lee Montgomery, Tracy Brooks, Mededith Conner, Stephanie Werner, Travis Stallings, Maricela Acosta, Katie Wilson, and Crystal Knapp. Dr. Coffee and Dr. Swanger accompanied the students. The Accounting Club wants to thank David Wiggins, a Dixon-Hughes partner and WCU accounting alumni for arranging the tour.
