Athletic Training: Certified athletic trainers (ATCs) are unique health care providers who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses that occur to athletes and the physically active.

Clinical Forensics: Majoring in biology, chemistry, forensics, or applied criminology? This exciting new minor can enhance your degree and earning power.

Clinical Laboratory Sciences (CLS): This major will prepare you for employment in all phases of laboratory medicine leading to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Emergency Medical Care (EMC): Join the nation’s first paramedic training program leading to the baccalaureate degree.

Environmental Health: One of the most unusual and rewarding majors at Western in which you’ll learn to monitor and improve environmental conditions for humans and other living things.

Health Information Administration (HIA): Learn how to improve health care by insuring that the best information is available to current and future patients.

Master of Health Sciences (MHS): Earn your graduate degree and specialize in one of the following concentrations: health education, emergency medical care, environmental health, gerontology, management, or nutrition.

Nutrition and Dietetics: The Nutrition and Dietetics Program trains students to become registered dietitians (RDs) who help individuals and groups maintain optimum health and fitness by providing both preventive and therapeutic nutritional care.

Recreational Therapy: A new program focusing on treatment interventions to help persons with mental, emotional, and/or social disadvantages function better.
