For tips on searching for more specialized marketing sources, check the pages on advertising, brands, consumer behavior, demographics, distribution, retailing, and selling.
- Books about marketing-related topics can be found using a subject search.
Marketing - This is the umbrella term. It will lead to dozens of related subjects such as Merchandising, Internet marketing, and Social marketing.
- For narrower results, use a keyword search to combine the phrase “marketing and” with a specific term:
marketing and demograph* (will search for demography, demographic, demographics, etc.)
- Find DVDs and videos related to marketing
Note: this search will only return materials that are available at Hunter Library. Media materials from ASU and UNCA are not available to students via ABC Express.
- Electronic books about marketing
These can be read online. Off-campus users will be prompted for their name and Banner ID (92) number.
- How to obtain books (and other materials)
Students who live outside Jackson County AND who take no courses in Cullowhee can use the Interlibrary Loan system to request books, articles, and other research materials that are not online. Enter the citation and we will obtain the item(s). Students should identify themselves as “Distance Learner,” one of the drop box options. Users are responsible for returning materials to WCU.
- Students taking classes at UNCA can use their WCU ID cards to check out books from Ramsey Library. Otherwise, books from within the library network can be mailed. Videos, DVDs and other media from WCU can also be sent via ABC Express.
