Role in the Teacher Education Admission Process: Like the teacher education interview, the candidate cannot fail the autobiography. The candidate must complete the autobiography process to be admitted to teacher education.
Possible Outcomes of the Teacher Education Autobiography: Candidates will receive a rating of 1-4 on the autobiography: 1=Unsatisfactory, 2=Below Standard, 3=At Standard, 4=Exceeds Standard. Candidates who receive a 2,3, or 4 will receive a message that they have completed the Teacher Education Autobiography requirement. Candidates who receive a 1 will receive a message that they have not completed the requirement and must resubmit the autobiography to complete the requirement.
Directions and Evaluation Rubric: The directions are intended to explicitly describe the process and to suggest a format for the autobiography. The evaluation rubric focuses on answering the guided questions and the length of the autobiography. The rubric addresses whether the questions are completely answered.
Relationship to Other Assignments: Candidates must submit the Teacher Education Autobiography via TaskStream before scheduling a teacher education interview.
